In Ketchikan’s neck of the woods, the Tongass National Forest encompasses dozens of freshwater lakes and streams, miles and miles of fishing grounds, and acres of wilderness. You don’t necessarily need a guide to experience the best of what our area has to offer, but you’re going to want one! Comprehensive outfitters provide camping gear, kayaks, bikes, skiffs/motors, raingear … anything you could possibly need to enjoy our expansive backyard.
